Full keyboard with cherry compatible keycaps
Today I decided to have a look through my old things when I came across a box of old IBM and other various keyboards so naturally, I inspected all of them to see if I had any interesting models amongst them. Three of the 10+ boards had interesting looking switches, and I had no easy time figuring out their type so I turned to /r/MechanicalKeyboards for some identification.
Unfortunately, all three happened to be sliders with rubber domes, but fortunately one of them had Cherry MX compatible stems that I could scavenge the keycaps.
I decided I’d use the keyboard to keep all my unused keycaps on display and take the vintage style caps for another board.
As a final note, one of the other keyboards had rotated switches for the homing keys which I haven’t seen before and found a bit interesting.
Sadly there were no mechanical keyboards in this bunch, but at least I managed to grab some sweet keycaps and some stylish storage for my existing keycaps.
